Investments
Small cheques, real involvement, no board theatre.
I invest in a small number of companies, and only where I would be useful beyond the money. If the founders would not want me in the room, the cheque makes no sense.
The pattern is consistent: technology or AI at the centre, a real market rather than a projected one, and founders who ship. I care much more about how a team makes decisions under pressure than about the deck.
Cheques are small relative to the involvement. Property and operating businesses sit alongside this — I like assets that keep working when I am not looking at them.
If you're raising and think I'd be useful in the room rather than on the cap table, tell me what you're building.
Where the money goes
Technology and AI companies
Pre-seed to seed
Early product-stage teams where engineering judgement is the constraint. DRAFT — replace with named holdings if you want them public.
Operating businesses
Profitable, small
Businesses with real customers that improve when someone applies technology properly.
Property
Long hold
Moldova and Romania. Long-term, unglamorous, and useful ballast against everything else.
Working on something ambitious?
If you're building a serious company, product or technology project and think I could add value, I'd like to hear about it.
